Microcosm Macrocosm was created from geodes using macro photography stacking techniques so everything appears in focus. The concept behind this series, as is seen in its counterpart little planets, is the idea of microcosm & macrocosm. Macrocosm and microcosm refers to a vision of cosmos where the part (microcosm) reflects the whole (macrocosm) and vice versa. Two sets of lighting were used to get the “nebula” effect, a ring flash on the lens as well as remote flash spilling light through the rock itself facing the lens.
