A Variety of Figments was created as part of my senior thesis at Eastern Michigan University after facing the challenge of displaying the concept of microcosm/macrocosm in one image that involved a progressive narrative. In this case, the progressive narrative, from left to right, moves from an empty desert to foliage, to trees, to a church rooftop, to cityscape.
