This series deals with iconography juxtaposed with environments on the brink of collapse.
As entertainment constantly reinvents itself iconography strives to remain based on imaginary principles, principles that are residing on top of sand (or in this case abandoned environments). I decided to use “commercialism” and “hollywood” together because I don’t believe they can co-exist together indefinitely.
Doing this series has greatly expanded my knowledge of shadow and light. In many ways I find these satisfying because of the limited options I have for myself. All of these objects were shot by me at some point of time during the last 2-3 years and placed together when the lighting matched.
